How we measure

Each completed booking represents a journey a bus was already going to make. By matching that empty return leg with a paying passenger group, we count the full trip distance as kilometres saved — the second bus that would otherwise have been despatched never leaves the depot.

CO₂ avoided is estimated at 1.3 kg per kilometre, a conservative average for small-to-medium coaches operating on Irish roads.
